Mario Molina was a Mexican-American chemist who played a crucial role in identifying the impact of chlorofluorocarbons on the Earth's Ozone layer. He won the 1995 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work. He has taught at MIT, Cal Tech, and other American universities as well as in Mexico.

+Ellen Ochoa is an American engineer who became the first women of Hispanic origin to go into space in 1993. She became the first Hispanic and 2nd female director of the Johnson Space Center. She currently serves as the chair of the Nomination Evaluation Committee for the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

Timothy Campos is a rising star in the social media & technology world. He joined Facebook in 2010 becoming at age 32 the youngest Chief Information Officer of a Fortune 500 company. It is expected that he will be running Facebook in the near future.
Mathematics
Jaime Escalante was a Bolivian-American educator known for teaching students in calculus at Garfield High School in East Los Angeles from 1974-1991. He coached his students to achieve some of the country's highest scores on the AP Calculus exams. His story was told in the 1988 film Stand and Deliver. An asteroid was named after him in 1993.
